Elton John Hospitalized In London With Flu

LONDON -- Elton John has checked into a London Hospital to treat and e. coli bacterial infection and influenza.
The 62 year old singer is being treated at the King Edward the Seventy Hospital which specializes in looking after the royal family.
Unable to shake his two-week old illness, John has been forced to cancel a number of gigs in England and some upcoming performances in the United States in Portland and Seattle. No details yet on when those concerts might be rescheduled.
