MOUNT AIRY, North Carolina -- Rene Aguilar drove in from Richmond after he got the bad news about his nephew.

"We don't even believe it," he said.

Police say Marcos Chavez Gonzalez gunned down Javier Manuel Martinez, Juan Manuel Martinez, Victor Alfonso Martinez-Jimenez, and Marcos Oviedo-Aguilar.

Aguilar says his nephew, Marcos Oviedo-Aguilar, was married with a young daughter.

Police have Gonzalez in custody after Virginia deputies helped find him in a Henry County hotel room.

Another woman who did not want to give her name says she is Javier Martinez's wife, and Marcos Oviedo-Aguilar's sister.

She says she and Javier only married in September, and that he couldn't be happier than right before he died.

She says she held him in her arms on the ground long after he died.

Police say they are investigating leads that jealousy could have spurred this attack.

Gonzalez faces four counts of murder and a charge of being a fugitive from justice.
